I predicted that Shane Mosley would win the fight via KO and not through the scorecards and Floyd Mayweather Jr. would win by unanimous decision and I was kinda right in there; however I picked Sugar to win.. sad.

Well, it was all Mayweather's night! The win by unanimous decision had lifted his career stats to 41W-0L-25KOs while it handed Mosley his 6th lost with 46W-39KOs. Floyd's counter punches had done more damage than the Mosley's offensive strikes. Sugar played with Mayweather's forte; it was obvious, the outcome was very predictable after the 3rd round.

Congratulations Money!

Now, hopefully, the fight that everybody would like to see Pacquiao-Mayweather. Just get it on.

Sugar or Money?

With the Mayweather-Mosley fight just few days away predictions for the fight keeps on pouring; that's normal though. Both camps even predicted a knockout victory for their own fighter.

Well, I want to share my own.. duh.

Both camps predicted a KO victory right? Well that will happen, most likely, if both will play offense like both fighters will just put it on, street-fight style (not like the past Pacquiao-Clottey fight). However, I don't think it would be a match of offense-vs-offense. Why?

Both fighters would like to win, that's an undeniable fact.

First off, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is undefeated and he would do anything to keep his record clean from defeat; and when I say anything, that includes coming up for a random blood-test for dope - Olympic style. Floyd will play defense on May 1, that's what I think, and most of his punches will be from counter-attacks. I hope he will not stay in a 'turtle-house' defense, like Clottey did against the Pacman, for there's a chance that Shane would unleash a fury of punches that may make him a human punching-bag. Oh well. If ever 'Money' wins it would be by unanimous decision.

Shane Mosley, on the other hand, would do anything to win this fight not only to prove that he is one of the best boxers in the world but even to strengthen his credibility to be in the Hall-of-Fame of boxing. Also, I think he would like to fight the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao as well so he must win. Mosley may be 38 years old already but that doesn't mean he can't fight; he demolished Antonio Margarito the last time. He is the one I am feeling to win by KO if ever the match will not go the distance.

So, Money or Sugar? I'll go for sweetness himself, Shane Mosley.

Boycott Mayweather-Mosley?

To watch or not to watch? That would be the question.

Despite the attitude being shown by Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and his camp to Team Pacquiao and to all Pacman fans, I still consider the Mayweather-Mosley fight an exciting event. There are calls to Pacquiao fans to boycott the match, however it would still be a choice for us. Would you rather grab a beer, sit and watch the fight? Or just watch a movie? It's up to you.

Shane Mosley: Last Fights

"Sugar" Shane Mosley was born on September 7, 1971 and is from Pomona, California. So far he had collected world titles in three weight divisions. He is currently the WBA Super World welterweight champion. Below are some of his last fights:

Mosley vs. MargaritoShane Mosley regained the WBA Welterweight "Super" championship from Antonio Margarito on January 24, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Mosley came in to the fight as a 4-1 underdog with the bookies after Margarito had spectacularly stopped Miguel Cotto 6 months earlier. Prior to the bout nobody gave Mosley a chance of prevailing - everybody believing that Margarito was too strong and that Mosley was too old.

Mosley eventually TKO'd Margarito in the ninth round, after appearing to win every round up until then, in a massive upset. Sugar Shane utterly dominated Margarito, using his superior hand speed, pinpoint accuracy and countless huge right hands to the jaw, to wear Margarito down and stop him—something that many seasoned boxing observers thought was nigh-on impossible. After knocking him down with a series of heavy overhand rights at the end of the eighth round, Margarito was unable to avoid punches during a heavy barrage from Mosley early on in the ninth, forcing the referee to step in as Margarito slumped to the canvas a second time. Margarito had never previously been stopped. It was a sensational win for Sugar Shane and propelled him back to the top of the tree in the welterweight division.

Mosley vs. MayorgaShane Mosley destroyed Ricardo Mayorga with one second left in the 12th round of their junior middleweight bout, Mosley led by one point on judge Nelson Vasquez's scorecard and five on Tony Crebs' entering the 12th round. Shane Mosley and undefeated WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto met on Nov. 10, 2007, at Madison Square Garden in an exciting fight. Cotto beat Mosley in a close, though unanimous decision. Soon after that match, Mosley was scheduled to face Zab Judah in a Welterweight bout in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 31. Due to an arm injury suffered by Judah, the fight was canceled.

Mosley relinquished his lighweight title to move up 2 divisions, facing the Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya for his welterweight title. Mosley had defeated De La Hoya twice; on June 17, 2000 and on September 13, 2003 in particular.

2010 will definitely be a great year for boxing. With The Event just happened in Dallas, Texas where the pound-for-pound champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao became victorious once again in front of 51,000 boxing fans what's next for us to wait? Obviously the Mayweather-Mosley fight!

The undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. (40W-0L-25KOs) will face Sugar Shane Mosley (46W-5L-39KOs) in a welterweight bout that will surely make an impact to the boxing business. This time the spotlight will be back in Las Vegas from Dallas. There is a chance that Pacquiao will be fighting the winner of the Mayweather-Mosley fight; however, seems like the Pacman would want Mayweather more than anybody else as he had said it again during his post-fight interview against Joshua Clottey. Well, there are a lot of hopefuls.

Mayweather is upset for Pacquiao's victory!

I believe that the pound-for-pound king and WBO welterweight champion, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao put on a good fight against Joshua Clottey during their recent fight where the Filipino pride won via a one-sided unanimous decision; the thing that made the event looks like a not-a-Pacquiao type of fight is that there was no knock-down. Seriously, a lot of people had predicted and expected that Clottey would hit the ground; it never happen. Because of this, a lot of critics are claiming that the Pacman had upset a lot of boxing fans.

Upset?

Oh c'mon! The victory itself is sweet and Pacquiao is phenomenal. Even team Clottey, I think, was not upset about the outcome of the fight; it was a privilege to fight the best boxer in the world today and make millions of dollars.

There is one thing that, I think, was upset not just for the victory of Pacquiao but even with the success of The Event held in Dallas, it's Floyd Mayweather Jr. The ever boastful Floyd had talked again saying that the effect of HGH to Pacquiao is just great; Mayweather also claimed that Manny put on a boring fight. Well, I remember Mayweather Jr., days back, saying something about focusing (talking) on his next fight with Shane Mosley instead of talking about Pacquiao; he just can't stop thinking about the Pacman. He's haunted.

Well, Mayweather should do his best to win against Mosley if he wants another shot to face Pacquiao in a multi-million mega-fight. Good luck to his next bout.

Mosley-Mayweather: Terms reached but contract not yet signed

People waited for this fight for a very long time. Behind all the trash talks between these two great boxers it will all go to a rather super-fight to know who is better. Well, hopefully there will be no more obstructions for this bout not to happen.

According to Leonard Ellerbe, the adviser of Floyd Mayweather Jr., Shane Mosley and Mayweather have agreed to terms for a welterweight match-up; however, the contracts have not been signed yet. Both camps will still have to ink the contract to seal the fight. Formal announcement will likely happen next week as was Ellarbe claimed.

From $40M Fight to Mosley

So after years of waiting it's going to happen this year, Floyd Mayweather versus Shane Mosley. Or is it?

The Mayweather-Mosley fight had been on deck for a very long time that most boxing fans had almost believe that it will never happen, especially when Floyd had been saying that Mosley is not good enough for him. If the fight would really get ironed out then it would likely take place on May in Las Vegas, no official announcement yet. The only thing that I could be sure of is that there is no Top Rank-Golden Boy showdown.

For me, this would be a good and interesting match since the two great boxers had been throwing trash talks to each other till now. Mosley had been wanting to fight Mayweather. He is going to get it, hopefully.

Hopefully?

Well, if the camp of Mayweather will not be throwing their terms again about that random blood testing prior to fight then the bout will happen. Definitely.

There are talks around that Manny Pacquiao had said 'NO' to the random blood testing even though he's clean then how would Mosley react? 'NO! NO! NO!' (There was a claim that he'd been into 'it' before.)

I would say that Mayweather is doing a good thing in finding himself accepting Mosley as his opponent after the $40M fight with the Pacman went off. It would be better if it would really happen.

Mayweather to fight Mosley on May?

With the Pacquiao-Clottey ironed out, it is unclear whether or not Floyd Mayweather will retain his plans to face an opponent on March 13 for a possible Top Rank-Golden Boy head-to-head. There are talks around the boxing world that Floyd will be facing Shane Mosley sometime in May. How true can this be? Or the other question should be, How true can Mayweather be?

Well, years back a Mayweather-Mosley fight had been making some stir, it could have been a very good fight; it never happen. Mosley had been claiming that Floyd has been ducking him and that he is the better boxer. Mayweather claimed that Mosley was not worthy enough to face him.

So now that the stir came back, are we still going to hope that this fight will happen? Maybe it's better for us to just say que sera sera.
